Abstract
Abstract An investigation was carried out with an objective to study the performance of popular Bt hybrids against pink bollworm under field condition at Agricultural Research Station, Adilabad during Kharif, 2017-18. Twelve Bt Cotton hybrids viz, ATM, ATMH-ACH-177-2, MAHYCO MCH-203, MAGNA RCH-530, MAHYCO, NRC-7205, RASSI-RCH-659, BAYER SUPERB, ANUKUR B.G.II 3034, I CLASS BAYER, TULASI-2304, DELTAPINE-9109 were evaluated under field conditions at ARS, Adilabad, Telangana. The incidence and damage of Pectinophora gossypiella during 2017-18. Revealed the superiority of Bt cotton hybrids in managing P. gossypiellia. The high incidence of Pectinophora gossypiella larval population per 20 green bolls was observed in MAHYCO MCH-203 (4.86) and the lowest incidence of P. gossypiellia larval population per 20 green bolls was observed in RASSI-RCH-659.
