Abstract
Abstract The present investigation was purposively carried out in Anand and Petladtaluka of Anand district, where the production of milk is highest as compared to other talukas. Twelve villages having a larger number of farmwoman members in milk producers’ cooperative societies were selected purposively. Ten farmwoman members were selected by simple random sampling method from each of the village. Thus, the sample consisted of 120 respondents for the study. The ex-post facto research design was used for the research study. Empowerment under psychological component was the strongest while under political it was found to be the weakest.It can be enunciated that education, experience in a dairy occupation, membership in dairy cooperatives, land holding, herd size, annual income, economic motivation, knowledge and attitude had a positive and significant correlation with their perception about the role of dairy cooperatives in empowering...
