Abstract
The study of cost and return of Sugarcane cultivation was studied in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh and was conducted in agricultureyear 2020-2021. In which Sixty (60) sample farmers (Marginal- 17, Small- 19, and Medium-24) were interviewed from five villages ofBalrampur Block of Balrampur district. Data hence gathered was analyzed and it was found that average holding size was 1.65 hectare. Onan average cost of cultivation was Rs 21480.87. The gross and net incomes on overall farms were found to be Rs 78247 and Rs 56766.13.Farm business income and Farm investment income were recorded as Rs 67505.47 and Rs 56763.42. The average input and output ratiowas recorded as 3.58. Sugarcane Cultivation in the study was characterized by decreasing return to scale.
