Abstract
The purpose of this study is to conduct an economic analysis of cotton production in bhadradri kothagudem district of Telangana , with thespecific objectives of determining the production trend and estimating the cost of production and farm profitability in the study area. A totalof 5 villages in the Cherla block Viz Upparigudem, Singhasamudram, Mallaram, Gannavaram and G.colony were selected randomly .Alltogether 100 cotton producers, divided into 46 Marginal size farm group ,41 small size of farm Group and 13 medium size of farm grouprespectively.The primary statistical analyses were performed using compound growth rate, cost concepts, and agricultural profitabilitymeasurements.The Study revealed that Cotton cultivation expenses were somewhat higher on marginal farms than on other farm types,according to the study.
