Abstract
Female in the agricultural sector, whether through traditional means or industrial, for subsistence or as an agricultural laborer, represents amomentous demographic group. They contribute a higher proportion of labor in agricultural sector than men. It also comes up with futurestrategies to make women a more active part of important farm decisions both at the household and legislature level. Hence, the present studyfocuses on the socio-economic status of the farm women. The investigation was performed on 300 farm women from Parbhani Districtselected randomly in the age group of 30-60 years, who were willing to participate in the study. The detailed schedule was formulated andused to elicit the information on various aspects related to the assessment of socio-economic status.
