Abstract
Twenty seven Soil Samples were collected from nine different villages on October 2021 in three different blocks of Mayurbhanj district. TheCollected Soil Samples were examined for their Physico-chemical parameters and presence of heavy metals by using Standard LaboratoryTechniques. The result showed that the Soils of Bahalda, Bijatala and Rairangpur blocks majority are Sandy loam and few Sandy clay loam inSoil texture, strongly acidic to slightly acidic in Soil reaction, in dry conditions, the Soil reflects Reddish yellow to Brownish yellow colour andin wet condition, reflects dark Brown to Brownish yellow colour, low to medium Soil Organic Carbon content, medium in Nitrogen content,very low to medium in Phosphorus content, medium in Potassium content, moderate amount of Ca, and Mg, deficient in Sulphur and in case ofheavy metals; Zn content is in deficient range, Cu is in sufficient range, whereas Fe and Mn are found in toxic levels...
