Abstract
Green gram is the third most important pulse crop after chickpea and pigeon pea in India. Fertilizer management is one of the importantagronomic practices for increasing crop yield and maintaining soil fertility. Growth and development of crops largely depend on the developmentof root system. A field experiment was conducted during 2021 to study the effect of sulphur, organic manures and bio-fertilizer on yield andquality of greengram. There were twelve treatments comprising of three sulphur levels [20 kg S ha-1(S1), 30 kg S ha-1(S2) and 40 kg S ha-1(S3)]combined with two organic manure levels [5 t FYM ha-1(O1) and 1 t vermicompost ha-1(O2)] along with two levels of bio-fertilizer [control (B0)and PSB + Rhizobium inoculation (B1)].
