Abstract
During the year 2020-2021, a field experiment was undertaken at the Department of Sericulture, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru, to determine thecost-effectiveness of applying nitrogenous nano-fertilizer to mulberry and cocoon production via foliar application. Ten treatments were laidout in RCBD with three replications, which consisted of different levels of nitrogen nano-fertilizer through foliar spray on 18 and 25 DAP.The total cost of cultivation was lower in absolute control and control with Rs. 73,140 ha-1crop-1and Rs. 88,635 ha-1crop-1, respectively.However, net returns per hectare of mulberry (Rs. 2,53,905 ha-1crop-1) and B:C ratio (3.85) were more with foliar application of 0.4 percent nano nitrogen fertilizer on 25 DAP and found to be cost effective as compared to other treatments.
