Abstract
Spatial distribution of mustard aphid, Lipaphis erysimi Kaltenbach on Brassica crop was studied under field conditions during Rabi 2019-20at Research farm of CCS HAU, Regional Research Station, Rohtak. Mustard variety RH-30 and RH 0749 were selected for the study andsown on two different dates 15th October (Timely) and 25th October (Late) following the recommended agronomic practices in randomizedblock design, replicated five times, in plot size of 4.2 x 3.0 m2. During the year 2020, the first appearance of Lipaphis erysimi was observedfrom 1st Standard Meteorological Week (SMW) on both varieties (RH 30 and RH 0749) in 15th October sowing, where as, aphid appeared inthe 2nd SMW on both varieties in 25th October sowing. In 15th October sowing, the peak of aphid population was observed in 6th SMW onboth varieties (RH 30 and RH 0749).The average aphid population remained higher in 25th October sowing.
