Abstract
The study on health and work profile of pesticide applicators was carried out among 30 pesticide applicators from Parbhani and Hingoli districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra State. Physical fitness level of the subjects was measured on the basis of Vo2 max. Body type was assessed on the basis of BMI of respondents. It was observed that the majority of the selected pesticide applicators belonged to mesomorph category of body type and had normal Body Mass Index(16.66%). On the whole it can be concluded that majority of the respondents were having good aerobic capacity which denoted high level of physical fitness. Majority of the pesticide applicators were performing spraying activity (53.33%), spending 5-8 hrs on pesticide application activity (63%) and had experience of 5 to 10 years (66.66%).
