Abstract
India is the world largest producer as well consumer of green gram. It produces about 1.5 to 2.0 million tonnes of green gram annually from about 3 to 4 million ha. of area with average productivity is 500kg/ha.The information was collected from designed schedule by survey method. The per hectare cost of cultivation i.e. Cost-C was Rs.51824.49, Cost-A was Rs.31001.2 and Cost-B was Rs.47989.5. The gross return from green gram cultivation was obtained Rs.76800.16 and net profit was Rs.24975.65. The ouput-input ratio was 1.48.
