Abstract
Wheat is the most significant crop in the world, and the second most important crop in India. After the European Union and China, India is the world's third-largest wheat producer. Despite increased wheat production, a good environment, and a longer growing season, farmers faced a number of challenges in farming wheat crops. The purpose of this paper was to express the constraints that wheat growers confront. Primary data was gathered in Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar district. The study's findings found that the top four constraints faced by farmers in the study area were lower output prices, higher input prices, a lack of finance, and a lack of desire d variety for all categories of farmers. To alleviate the constraints imposed by growers, the government must intervene by formulating appropriate policies, farmer-centric initiatives, and subsidizing input commodities to reduce the cost of growing inputs.
