Abstract
Botanicals were evaluated against Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. cyamopsidis in vitro and cage house condition to management strategies for bacterial blight of clusterbean. In vitro and cage house studies, botanicals were able to inhibit growth of the bacteria and reduced the per cent disease severity significantly at all the concentrations. The neem leaf extract at 15 per cent dilution was found most effective with maximum mean diameter of inhibition zone (16.50 mm) followed by datura leaf extract (13.25 mm), garlic cloves extract (12.00 mm), tulsi leaf extract (11.50 mm) minimum turmeric extract (7.50 mm). The minimum per cent disease index (22.92) was recorded in the leaf extract of neem as compare to control where 55.00 PDI was recorded at highest concentration (15%) its gave better result than their lower concentrations (3%, 5% & 10).
