Abstract
The present study was carried out to identify the factors contributing to decision making of agricultural households in respect to agricultureand household activities along the rural urban interface of Bengaluru. Six hundred farmers from North (300 farmers) and South (300farmers) transects of Bengaluru were selected for the study. One hundred, 120 and 80 farmers from rural, transitional and urbangradients/areas of North transect and 100, 115 and 85 farmers from rural, transitional and urban gradients of South transects/areas wererandomly selected for the study. Thus, the total sample constituted 600 farmers along the rural- urban interface of Bengaluru. A pre-testedinterview schedule was used to collect the required data from the sampled farmers.
