Abstract
The nature and magnitude of genetic diversity were assessed among 15 introgression lines with three checks for various characters viz., daysto flowering, days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, plant height, number of primary branches, number of secondary branches, number ofpods per plant, pod weight per plant, 100 seed weight and seed yield per plant. Cluster analysis indicated significant genetic variabilityamong tested introgression lines, which provides crop improvement opportunities through hybridization of selected genotypes present indistant clusters. All the genotypes were clustered into four major clusters with six genotypes each in cluster 1 and Cluster 2, four genotypesin cluster 3 and two genotypes in cluster 4. Genotypes in cluster 2 recorded highest mean values for number of primary branches, secondarybranches, and pods per plant along with the seed yield. Genotypes in cluster 3 recorded the highest hundred seed weight ...
