Abstract
Andrographis paniculata is one of the important medicinal plants found in India and South Asian countries. This plant is known to produce abiologically active secondary metabolite called andrographolide. Plant propagated through conventional method was slow growing,required up to 90 days limits the commercial production of andrographolide. Hence, its commercial production was carried out usingbioreactors. The selection of appropriate growth stage of in vitro grown A. paniculata for culture in bioreactoris a key success for maximumrecovery of andrographolide. In the present study, rapid and efficient method for the large-scale propagation of A. paniculata using tissueculture technique has been developed through standardization of growth regulator concentration in basal Murashige and Skoog
