Abstract
Growth and yield parameters differed significantly with residual effect of irrigation and fertilizer management practices on clayey texture atDharwad during 2013-14 and 2014-15. Root volume (6.7 cm3), number of pods (28.8 plant-1) and seed yield (11.8 q ha-1) were significantlyhigher at harvest with residual effect of deficit irrigation at growth stages. Similarly, significantly higher root volume (7.1 cm3), number ofpods (30.7 plant-1) and seed yield (12.1 q ha-1) were recorded at harvest with residual effect due to fertilizer levels of 250:100:125 kgN:P2O5:K2O ha-1 (2.5:1:1.25). Besides, residual effect of fertilizers application as 33% each (1/3rd) of N, P2O5 and K2O as basal, 33% eachof N, P2O5 and K2O at 30 DAS and 33% each of N, P2O5 and K2O at 50 DAS documented significantly higher root volume (6.8 cm3), numberof pods (20.7 plant-1) and seed yield (11.4 q ha-1) at harvest.
