Abstract
The study was conducted to analyze the financial performance of top BSE listed pharmaceutical companies in India during 2020. Financialanalysis of some selected pharmaceuticals and drugs companies during this Covid-19 pandemic period is critical and important. Totally topperforming twenty companies were taken for the study based on market capitalization. Profitability ratio analysis will not be complete byjust computing return on equity (ROE). It is essential to find out the factors that have an impact on the ROE. For this purpose DuPontanalysis and Path analysis are used in the study. From the results, it was concluded that pharmaceutical companies are doing well duringthis period of analysis and there was a significant difference between the return on equity and the DuPont variables and also there is nosignificant difference between the equity multiplier and the return on equity.
