Abstract
The study was conducted in purposively selected Chamarajanagara taluk and district. Total sample of 300 respondents from 3 to 4 villagesof three Grama Panchayats were purposively selected for the study. It was observed that livelihood security of respondents in less satisfiedcategory decreased by 9.66 per cent, satisfied category decreased by 1.00 per cent and highly satisfied category improved by 10.66 per centafter implementation of the project. Out of seven dimensions it was observed that assets increased by 50.54 per cent followed by copingstrategies against stress ( 49.00%), living amenities (47.10%), employment security (44.57%), social equitability (39.39%), ecologicalsecurity (37.40%) and economic efficiency (36.56%) and overall livelihood security increased by 44.30 per cent after implementation ofproject. Livestock component generated 230 mandays of employment per annum and Rs. 29830.00 net income to beneficiary farmers. In2...
