Abstract
A sample of 150 urban school going children (Male 75 and Female 75) age ranged between 11 yrs and 13 yrs were selected by followingpurposive random sampling method from 10 colonies of Parbhani city. The data pertaining to the study were collected by personallyinterviewing the sample school going children based on structured and open ended interview schedule. It is apparent from the results thatirrespective of gender , generally these children were found often to be involved in playing outdoor games like Ice or water (Baraf ka Paani68% girls,50% boys) followed by Rope skipping(56%girls), Hide and seek(37% girls,33% boys), Tag (pakada-pakadi 33% girls,80% boys).Further irrespective of gender few of them also were recorded to be playing Hopscotch (Langadi), Badminton, Kho-kho, Lagori, Football,Cricket, Kabaddi, Tug of war and Blind folds .
