Abstract
In order to estimate generated genetic variability and increased number of vital mutants in the mutated population, calculation of mutagenicefficiency and effectiveness is essential. Hence, these parameters were estimated in M1 and M2 population of the current study. Whileconsidering dosage of gamma rays used for treatment, 300 gray and 100 gray in CR1009 and CR1009 sub1 had higher total chlorophyllfrequency with the value of 0.743 and 1.322 among other dosages respectively. In CR1009, dosage of 200 gray had higher mutageniceffectiveness and efficiency for seedling injury, survival reduction and seedling lethality with the value of 0.003 and 0.105, 0.025 and 0.012respectively. In case of CR1009 sub1, the higher value for mutagenic effectiveness (0.013) and efficiency for seedling injury (0.046), survivalreduction (0.049) and seedling lethality (0.024) were obtained with the dosage of 100 gray. Hence, comparably lower dosages of gammar...
