Abstract
The present investigation was conducted with the aim to find out the promising genotypes of jackfruit for cultivation under Eastern UttarPradesh Conditions. The present investigation was conducted with objectives to study the fruit characters and yield of the elite jackfruitgenotypes. The observation were recorded on characters like as number of fruit per plant, fruit weight, fruit yield per plant, fruit length,fruit width, fruit maturity, fruit rind thickness, average flake weight with seed, number of flakes per fruit, flake length and flake width. Thesignificant difference was observed among the genotypes for all the traits. The genotypes namely, NJ-4, NJ-7 (16.93), NJ-14, NJ-12 and NJ11 were found promising for fruit weight and fruit yield per plant.
