Abstract
The present study was conducted in Thoubal and Bishnupur districts of Manipur during 2020-2021 to know the association and extent ofcontribution of profile characteristics of aromatic black rice growers on the adoption of organic farming practices. One hundred andeighty beneficiary aromatic black rice growers were interviewed in 18 villages of two sampled districts in Manipur state with the help of apre-tested interview schedule. The results revealed that education, organic farming experience, livestock possession, achievementmotivation, aspiration, management orientation, economic motivation, risk orientation, innovative proneness, mass media exposure, trainingon organic farming, extension participation and extension agency contact of aromatic black rice growers have significantly contributed tothe adoption of organic farming practices.
