Abstract
A field experiment was accompanied at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, during summer, 2019, to accessthe impact on grain yield and quality of pearl millet cultivars [Pennisetum glaucum (L.)] as influenced by iron and zinc fertilization, using afactorial randomised block design consisted of five cultivars and five treatments and it was replicated twice. The plots received Fe-EDTA @6.25 kg ha-1 + Zn-EDTA @ 3.12 kg ha-1(SA4) recorded a significantly higher grain yield of 3566 kg ha-1 and plots cultivated with KaveriSuper Boss (C4) recorded higher yield (3674 kg ha-1) among five cultivars and it was found to be statistically significant. Similarly, themaximum crude protein and soluble protein content of 14.6 and 2.68 percent respectively was registered by the treatment that received FeEDTA@ 6.25 kg ha-1 + Zn-EDTA @ 3.12 kg ha-1(SA4).
