Abstract
In this investigation, bioefficacy of neem seed kernel extract against leaf spot disease in capsicum was assessed with developed electrostaticand non-electrostatic sprayers. The sprayers were tested at a speed of operation of 1 km h-1in the field with optimized nozzle parameterswith intent of comparing their bioefficacy. The field trials were conducted on capsicum at green house of College of AgriculturalEngineering and Post Harvest Technology, Ranipool, Sikkim. The neem seed kernel extract with 1% EC was applied on capsicum with doseof 1 mL per litre of water. The observations such as number of infested leaves on randomly selected plants were recorded for 1 day beforeand 1, 3, 7 days after application and per cent bioefficacy was determined. The mean per cent bioefficacy of electrostatic sprayer was foundto be 45.04, 45.37 and 47.78% on front leaf surface and 47.22, 43.70 and 55.56% on back leaf surface for top, middle and bottom pla...
