Abstract
Groundnut is an important oilseed crop affected by many diseases. Among them, late leaf spot (LLS) caused by Phaeoisariopsis personata and rust caused by Puccinia arachidis Speg. are the most serious fungal diseases, accounts for more than 50% yield loss. Field trials were conducted at Coconut Research Station, Aliyarnagar during 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 for the management of foliar diseases of groundnut using various fungicides. The results of the field studies indicated that seed treatment with carbendazim @ 2 g/kg seed followed by foliar spray of Tebuconazole @ 1ml/L (0.0259%) at 40 and 65 days after sowing recorded minimum late leaf spot disease intensity (19.9 PDI) and rust (17.6 PDI). Seed treatment with carbendazim @ 2 g/kg seed followed by foliar spray of Tebuconazole 50% + trifloxystobin 25% WG @ 1.32 g/5L (0.035%) at 40 and 65 DAS ranked next which recorded leaf spot disease intensity 29.3 PDI, while in the control, maximum l...
