Abstract
Tuberose is a herbaceous bulbous perennial plant and it is the most important flower crop mainly cultivated for its fragrance and waxywhite flowers used as cut and loose flowers. This crop is mainly cultivated all over India contributing the major area from Tamil Nadu,Karnataka, Andra Pradesh and Maharastra. The propagule is the most expensive one as the whole bulb/bulblet is used for propagation. Toreduce the propagation expenditure and standardize the improved propagation method with cost effective way, this experiment was carriedout at Institute of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Kumulur, in the commercial significant variety Prajwal. Bulb cuttings of15 gms each were treated with different IBA concentrations viz. 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000ppm for 30 seconds and after an hour,30 minutes dip in 0.1% Carbendazim.
