Abstract
Field experiment were conducted at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Madurai withminimum and conventional tillage practices combined with two levels of irrigation and with various weed control practices in split plotdesign. The main plot treatment consists of conventional tillage with irrigation schedule of 0.8 IW/CPE ratio (M1), conventional tillage withirrigation schedule of 0.6 IW/CPE ratio (M2), minimum tillage with irrigation schedule of 0.8 IW/CPE ratio (M3) and minimum tillage withirrigation schedule of 0.6 IW/CPE ratio (M4).
