Abstract
The present paper gives market potential of fresh vegetables and identifies the requirement of institutional business which was conducted inMadanapally block of Chittoor district. The specific requirements of institutional business for fresh vegetables was studied for which fourbusiness segments like hotels, restaurants, hostels and canteens were selected based on the availability and fame. The sample size was 40institutional business people. 10 from each institutional segments were selected for interview. The primary data was collected through thequestionnaire. The data was analyzed through simple tabular method, graphs and figures. The market potential of fresh vegetables wasdrawn by using the formula given by Srivastava in 2008 was used. The results showed that The highest market potential was observed inhostels segments as there were around 90 hostels in Madanapalle.
