Abstract
The KVKs play an important role in transferring latest improved agricultural technologies to enhance the productivity of crops throughtrainings and FLDs. Keeping in view the beneficiaries of Blackgram (VBN 6) demonstrations from four villages of Villupuram district, TamilNadu were selected purposively. The statistical tools of percentage analysis and knowledge test were used to conduct the present study. Tocompare the production and profitability, the yield data of Cluster FLDs and control plots were collected from each farmers and averagedout at all locations. An average yield of 7.73 q/ha was recorded in demo plots and in check plots it was 6.72 q/ha. The yield difference of1.02q/ha with the yield gap of 13.19 percent was observed in CFLD programme.
