Abstract
This paper examines trend in domestic and international prices and export competitiveness of Indian groundnut for the period 1988-89 to2017-18. Quadratic production function was used to study the trend in domestic and international prices of groundnut. The exportcompetitiveness of groundnut was measured by Nominal Protection Coefficient. Results showed that the trend in domestic price of groundnutwas increasing at increasing rate whereas the trend in international price of groundnut was decreasing at increasing rate. The NPC valueof groundnut was less than unity during the period of study which reveals moderate competitiveness in international market.
