Abstract
Experiment was conducted at postharvest laboratory in college of Horticulture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The statistical design FactorialCompletely Randomized Design with two factors replicated thrice was adopted. Matured green fruits were exposed to different ethyleneconcentrations 50 ppm, 75 ppm, 100 ppm and 125 ppm along with different time interval 6 times in 24 hours, 4 times in 24 hours, 2 times in24 hours, 1 time in 24 hours in low cost ripening chamber. As ripening advanced the increasing values was noticed in Total soluble solids(TSS), reducing sugars, non- reducing sugars, Total sugars. Among all the different treatments ethylene 100 ppm with 2 times in 24 hoursresulted best.
