Abstract The present investigation was carried out during the year 2016 -2018 to study the performance of different types of fillers under Nilgiris. Theexperiment was conducted in Horticultural Research Station, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, The Nilgiris. Sixteen species of foliageplants viz., Cordyline australis "purple tower", Cordyline tango, Cordyline australis cabbage tree, Nephrolepis cordifolia, Nephrolepisfalcate, Nephrolepis exaltata, Asparagus densiflorus var. Sprengeri, Asparagus setaceous, Asparagus densiflorus var.Mayers, Box wood,Philodendron xanadu, Dracaena reflexa , Baby dollar, Podocarpus, Ivy hedrix, Hedera Algeriensis were planted in Randomized Block Design(RBD) and replicated thrice.
