Abstract
In Indian agricultural scenario, utilization of human and animal power has found to be increased at considerable level due to labour shortagesand rise in demand for food grain productivity. Farm Mechanization plays an inevitable role in irrigated areas such as wetlands. Hence, thepresent study was aimed to assess the extent of adoption of farm machineries/equipments in wetland ecosystem. The study was conducted inGobichettypalayam block of Erode district in Tamil Nadu. A sample size of 60 farmers cultivating both paddy and sugarcane under wetlandwere selected by proportionate random sampling method. A well structured and pre-tested interview schedule was used to collect data bydirect interview method.
