Abstract
The present study was carried out to investigate yield and yield attributing traits in horsegram, in order to generate information regarding the extent of genetic variability, heritability and genetic gain. The experiment was laid out during kharif 2019-2020 in Augmented Block Design at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Palem, Telangana. The study revealed the existence of wide range of variability in the genotypes. Analysis of coefficient of variation revealed that, the magnitude of phenotypic coefficient of variation was slightly higher than the genotypic coefficient of variation for all the traits under the study. High phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variability was recorded for no.of branches per plant (25.02% and 20.06%).
