Abstract
Nearly 58 per cent of the population depending upon agriculture sector for their livelihood, marketing was the major area to focus for the overall development. This paper analyses the effectiveness and challenges of electronic National Agricultural Marketing in Nizamabad district of Telangana state. The study revealed that there was 3.4 per cent increase in Turmeric price after the unification which may be due to increased number of bids from traders from about five to thirteen. Paddy prices were observed to be increased by 4.25 per cent. Whereas, Red gram and Maize prices were reduced by 6.75 and 3.92 per cent respectively after the unification of e-market.
