Abstract
Agricultural research is essential for the Indian economy which depends solely on agriculture for its livelihood. It is also crucial to follow up on the payoff of the research work in order to improvise the research further. Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) carries out rigorous research in the areas of crop improvement. This study aims to study the constraints in adoption of three rice varieties developed by PJTSAU. The varieties are Bathukamma (JGL 18057), Telangana Sona (RNR 15048) and Kunaram Sannalu (KNM 118) that were released in 2015 and being widely adopted by farmers. A total sample size of 180 farmers i.e., 60 for each of the selected improved rice varieties was purposively selected for the study to analyse the various constraints in adoption of these varieties.
