Abstract
Present study was conducted at Horticultural Research cum Instructional Farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, during rabi, 2015-16. Eighteen genotypes of brinjal were evaluated for fifteen qualitative and quantitative characters which were grouped into four clusters. Cluster II was found to be the largest with six genotypes followed by cluster I and III with five and four genotypes in each while cluster IV contains three genotypes. The highest average D2 value was observed in cluster II (2.74), which revealed maximum genetic diversity among the constituent genotypes. The least intra cluster distance was observed by cluster IV (2.38). The higher cluster distance of 5.86 was observed between Cluster II and IV and minimum between cluster I and III (2.86).
