Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Regional Sugarcane and Rice Research Station, Rudrur, during 2018-19 to evaluate the impact of varying planting methods and seed rates on yield of soybean. Planting methods and seed rates significantly influenced seed yield. Broad Bed Furrow (BBF) method with seed rate 50 kg ha-1 recorded significantly higher number of pods per plant (105) and mean seed yield of 1891 kg ha-1 over flat bed with 50 kg seed rate ha-1 (1757 kg ha-1 ) respectively. Broad Bed Furrow (BBF) method with seed rate 50 kg ha-1 recorded highest net returns (₹53,233ha-1 ) and highest B:C ratio (2.72) over flat bed of planting.
