Abstract
An attempt was made to estimate production and marketing costs of pomegranate in Solapur district of Maharashtra. By adopting multistagerandom sampling technique 90 pomegranate orchards were selected from 10 villages of Pandharpur and Malshiras tehsils. Per hectareestablishment of pomegranate orchard during year 2021-22 was ? 265812.90 while the per hectare maintenance cost of pomegranate orchardwas estimated to ? 2777613.66. Similarly, the per hectare return from pomegranate production were estimated to ? 501516.66 with an outputinput ratio of 1.80. Thus the production of pomegranate was very profitable enterprise in study area. With respect to marketing of pomegranatethree channels were observed in the study area i.e. Channel-?
