Abstract
The pearl millet (Pennisetum typhoids) often known as bajra. India is the largest producer of pearl millet. The study was carried out to determineresource use productivity, resource use efficiency and optimal resource use in pearl millet cultivation. The Cobb-Douglas production functionwas fitted to the data. The result shows that the partial regression coefficient for bullock labour (-0.151) and family labour (-0.018) were negativeand not statistically significant. The partial regression coefficient were found for hired human labour , machine labour and manure were positivebut non significant. The total regression coefficients was 0.934 which suggested rising return to scale.
