Abstract
The present investigation was undertaken to study comparative economics of kharif and summer paddy production in Gondia district ofMaharashtra. The data on costs, returns and marketing aspects were collected from 60 respondents who were cultivated kharif as well assummer paddy from Arjuni/mor and Tirora tehsils during the agricultural year 2020-21. The per hectare cost of cultivation for kharif andsummer paddy was worked to ? 61645.98 and ? 70579.8, respectively. The output input ratio for kharif and summer paddy were worked outto 1.19 and 1.42, respectively. In both the seasons i.e. kharif and summer, channel I was found to be more profitable than the channel II
