Abstract
The direct impact of animal diseases on survival and productivity is a major constraint to livestock-keeping in the developing world .Therefore,disease prevention and control is essential for the sustainability of the livestock sector. A number of technologies, methods, theories, and programsare routinely used to prevent and control of diseases in livestock. This chapter summarizes the concept of prevention and various methods involvedin the control of animal diseases and its spread in animals and poultry.
