Abstract
The economic value of vegetables and fruits in relation to direct consumption, processing and trade has risen considerably in recent past.However, absence of proper marketing facilities, the farmers of Bihar depend upon middle men and local traders for the marketing of theirfarm product. Information asymmetry or failure in price discovery of farm produces leads them financially unstable and stuck in the repeatedvicious cycle of debt. Under this backdrop, a research work was conducted in Bhagalpur and Banka districts of Bihar. Based on the findinga policy brief on Rural entrepreneurship Development through Market Linkage in Bihar is developed. It is suggested that a focused approachmight be used to promote the formation of farmer’s groups and apex organizations and government and other can facilitate in findingsolutions to problems of inputs, procurement, markets and risk.
