Abstract
Endophytes, an endosymbiotic group of microbes that are primarily correlated with plant roots and also other parts of the plants providepotential benefits to plants including nutrient accretion, foster the plant growth and defence mechanism. Endophytes especiallyentomopathogens give additional support of reducing the pests infestation and pathogen infection which indirectly may inflate the seedquality. The present study is to standardize the suitable endophytic treatments and their concentration for seed biopriming. The seeds werebioprimed with Bacillus subtilis, Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae at the concentration of 5% to 15% for 12 hours. The resultsdivulged that Bacillus subtilis, Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana, at the concentration of 8%, 5% and 5% respectivelyupgraded germination, seedling length and vigour index of the crop over the control.
