Abstract
The concept of modernism is a holistic term that expresses the changes related to art and science in the history of culture. Although its beginning is in the middle of the 18th century, it also covers the industrial revolution. The concept of industrial revolution and modernism forces human society to an irreversible change as well as technological developments and scientific discoveries. Subsequently, the following economic, social and political movements push the society into a crisis period. While society tries to parallel the pace of these changes, it is increasingly individualized and alienated. Embracing the results of modernism and the industrial revolution resonates in the art community as well as society. The art environment and artists, who did not want to lag behind the times, started to ignore tradition by turning to innovation in line with this purpose.
