Abstract
Aldimine ligand (E)-N-((furan-2-yl) methylene)-4-methylbenzenamine (L) and its complexes with transition metal like Cu (II), Ni (II), Co (II) andZn (II) were prepared and characterized by analytical, spectroscopic techniques, electrical conductivity and magnetic measurements. The resultsindicate that the ligands coordinate through azomithine nitrogen and oxygen of furan moiety to the metal ions. The complexes were further screenedfor microbial activity.
