Abstract
This study aimed to describe perceptions and feelings experienced by companions of children during the hospitalization period and when they were submitted to musical hearing in the child's post-operative period. This is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, carried out with 27 companions of children hospitalized in a pediatric surgical clinic. The participants heard relaxing instrumental music for fifteen minutes. Data were collected from December 2017 to March 2018, through semi-structured interviews, and subjected to thematic content analysis.
