Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to introduce B-corps as a new corporate paradigm and to comment on the challenges related to its legal recognition. In order to do that, after describing the main characteristics of these business structures, I will study different regulatory projects of Public Benefit Corporations (PBC), which can be found in comparative law. After that, a critical analysis will be made of a federal act´s draft –which was passed by one of the legislative chambers of Argentina at the end of 2018– aimed to regulate this new kind of corporation, emphasizing how important is to achieve its legal recognition.
