Abstract
The current Covid-19 pandemic has implied the adoption of exceptional and emergency measures, including the suspension of in-person classes. This has presented a challenge to the fulfillment of the right to education: sustaining distance learning, for which access to technology (equipment and connectivity) is essential. This modality has increased the existing inequalities in education and in society, and particularly affects students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability. This paper takes a tour of the contents of the right to education, human development and the importance of access to information and communication technologies (ICT). Regarding the recent case submitted to the Contentious Administrative and Tax jurisdiction of the Buenos Aires City,there will be an analysis on the deepening of the gap in access to knowledge in the context of pandemic and an invitation to reflect on the educational policies to be implemented.
